Astronomy Photographer of the Year

Put simply, I came to like science through a fascination for space (cards on the table: fiction-in-space). I think this is a common way for young people to become interested in the scientific universe. The Astronomy Photographer of the Year (from the Royal Observatory Greenwich) competition captures (partially) why.

The Transit of Venus for 150 Years, captured absolutely beautifully in a photo by Paul Haese.
